Self Financing Scheme

Eligibility 

The eligible candidates should have:

  1. Secured at least 50 percent marks in the HSSC (Pre-Engineering) examination for all disciplines and Intermediate (General Science Group for only four disciplines viz. Computer Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronics Engineering and Telecommunication Engineering) or equivalent as recognized by the University and further explained in Regular scheme
  2. Appeared in Pre-admission Test and obtained at least 12% marks
  3. produced Domicile and PRC (Form-C) of Sindh Province.

Available Seats

Seats in the following disciplines are reserved under this scheme for eligible candidates subject to the condition that the number of seats under this scheme in any following discipline may not exceed 40 except Environmental Engineering for which only 15 seats are reserved.

  5. Telecommunication Engineering
  6. Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering
  7. Environmental Engineering

Category-II

  1. Computer Systems Engineering
  2. Software Engineering
  3. Chemical Engineering
  4. Textile Engineering

Fees

For Category-I about Rs. 300,000 and for Category-II about Rs. 250,000 in the form of Demand Draft prepared by any branch of Habib Bank Limited, in favour of "Director Finance, Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro". The draft in original must be submitted alongwith the application form.

Other fees as payable under all categories of the Regular Scheme shall also be payable after the admission has been granted to the candidate.

Admission of Foreign candidates under Self Financing Scheme

Seats in 11 disciplines as described in Section 8.24.4 are reserved for foreign candidates under this scheme who are otherwise eligible for admission. The foreign candidates must apply for admission through their Embassies via the Higher Education Commission, Islamabad. The foreigner students will be required to pay admission fee of US $ 8000 (once only) along with the application form. They will also be charged the usual fees as payable by  other students.
