COMPUTING SERVICES
The institute has adequate number of latest high speed Pentium4 PCs, which provide the Internet services, in addition to printing and scanning facilities.
To represent/analyse scientific and engineering data and catering to the requirements of research conducted in the institute, various statistical / graphical softwares are also available such as, SPSS, matlab, surfer, etc.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE DEVELOPMENT CENTRE
The university has established an English Language Development Centre in collaboration with British Council to help develop the skills of students in written and spoken English. Emphasis is also given on reading and writing skills so that the students can understand a written work easily. The centre has learning facilities for the employees, teachers as well as students of the university. The Centre runs classes for this purpose in evening time, where the participants are taught basic English grammar using the participatory approach.
The Centre consists of Self-Access Centre, which allows the students to learn English on self-help basis and by attending language laboratory. The Centre also assists in preparation for tests such as TOEFL, IELTS, GRE and GMAT.
LIBRARY & ONLINE INFORMATION SYSTEM
The central library of the university contains more than 80,000 books related to engineering, technology and science. Many journals on various subjects related to engineering and technology are currently being subscribed from
There are more than 15,000 (approx.) text books in the book bank, which are loaned to the students for one term on nominal rent. The collection of books is updated continuously and new books are acquired on the recommendations of experienced faculty members which make collection most suited and beneficial to the students. In addition, latest reference and other books are also required every year to keep the users of the library abreast with the latest information on science & technology and its allied subjects.
In addition to providing the readers with in-house collection, services are also provided for inter-library loan and photocopying of literature including technical articles from other national and international libraries. Besides the central library, the institute has its own library, which caters to the specific needs of the institute. The collection comprises latest editions of books on science and technology, policy development, innovation management, etc. In addition to these books, the library also has subscriptions of the latest international research journals, which will help the students to carry modern research work on the different fields.
MEDICAL ASSISTANCE
A part-time dispensary has been established in one of the hostels for the resident students, which is manned by a qualified doctor and a dispenser. Adequate quantities of essential medicines are also available in the dispensary for the minor ailments. Major sickness problems are referred to
HOUSING
The university may provide housing to the full time deserving students. All the students who are interested in hostel accommodation can apply through a prescribed form which is available in the provost office. All the residents have to follow strictly the hostel rules and regulations.
TRANSPORT FACILITIES
The university has deployed buses for the use of students on various routes between the campus and Hyderabad/Qasimabad/Latifabad/Kotri. In addition of this the Institute has also its own van.
