SCHOLARSHIPS
1. INTERNAL SCHOLARSHIPS:
a) Merit Scholarship
Internal Merit Scholarship is awarded every year to deserving students of each discipline on the basis of their examination results provided by Controller of Examination. The stipends are as follows:
- 1st Position Rs. 7,000/-
- 2nd Position Rs. 6,000/-
- 3rd Position Rs. 5,000/-
- 10% of total strength of the class Rs. 4,000/-
Distribution of seats for the Batches 2K5, 2K6, 2K7 & 2K8 (Engineering & Architecture) and 2K4 (Architecture)
b) Financial Assistance
Financial Assistance is awarded to the pass students at the rate of 3,500/- excluding the names of the failure students as per verified list submitted by the Controller of Examinations.
c) Hardship Cases
Poverty Scholarship on hardship cases basis is awarded to the deserving students at the rate of 3,000/-, excluding those students who have already been awarded Internal Merit Scholarship / Financial Assistance.
2. EXTERNAL SCHOLARSHIPS:
a) HEC-Japanese Need Based Merit Scholarship:
Higher Education Commission (HEC) has initiated a need based scholarship program. The students are admitted under regular scheme of all the disciplines of Engineering excluding Bio-Medical Engineering are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
b) Financial Support for Meritorious Needy Students for Study in Top Public / Private Institutes at Graduates Level:
Higher Education Commission (HEC) has initiated a need based scholarship program. Only the students admitted in Bio-Medical Engineering are eligible to apply for this scholarship.
c) Other Scholarships are also available for meritorious students of Mehran University of Engineering & Technology, Jamshoro.
