CAREER OPPORTUNITIES USAID-funded Pakistan Centers for Advanced Studies in Water (PCAS-W) at Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), Jamshoro MUET, with USAID funding and in partnership with University of Utah, USA, is establishing a modern and applied policy research center, the Pakistan Centers for Advanced Studies in Water (PCAS-W). The Center will admit graduate students in four thematic areas: Hydraulics, Irrigation, and Drainage (HID), Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), Environmental Engineering (Env.Eng), and Water, Sanitation, and Health (WASH). PCAS-W invites applications from dynamic and high performing qualified professionals for the positions given below. PCAS-W offers an attractive remuneration package commensurate with the individual’s qualification and experience. All positions are contract basis. The project period is five years and is likely to be continued further. Women are strongly encouraged to apply. Deputy Director: The Deputy Director should complement the strengths and responsibilities of the Project Director. The Deputy Director will be responsible for day-to-day project management, including management of staff, activities and oversight of monitoring, evaluation and reporting. The requirements of the Deputy Director include the following:
Financial and Grants Manager: The incumbent holding this position will provide overall technical and administrative leadership in the areas of financial management and grants management for the CAS project at MUET. General responsibilities will include accounts payable, cost allocation, quarterly reporting, payroll, budget preparation, grants management, and tracking support. In addition, the Manager will be responsible for setting up the CAS grants manuals, policies, procedures, performance score cards and reporting systems and requirements that are compliant and congruent with USAID grants management regulations. The position, at a minimum, requires the following qualifications:
