The Final year project titled “ DESIGN AND PROGRESSION ANALYSIS OF NEURO REHABILITATION SYSTEM USING MACHINE LEARNING” from Department of Electronic Engineering with team members Maliha Talpur (17ES31), Madan Lal (17ES45) and Saad Rehman (17ES65) under the Supervision of Dr. Attiya Baqai (Associate Professor, Department of Electronic Engineering MUET Jamshoro & co supervision of Dr. Tahira Nihal (Bhittai Institute of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation sciences, Mirpurkhas) has won 2nd Prize with cash award of 75000/ Rs in the 3rd and final round of Lab2Market event project exhibition as part of National Artificial Intelligence Forum (NAIF) on 2nd September 2021. The team was accompanied by Engr. Komal Khowaja (Lecturer, Department of Electronic Engineering, MUET Jamshoro) to the competition. The team is very thankful to the university administration and Department of Electronic Engineering for the facilitation and support to participate in the event.

The project is in the form of an intelligent wearable sleeve with sensors integrated in the sleeve to provide home base rehabilitation which saves time, money, and frequent visits to hospitals/ physiotherapists. Through this system the patients can analyze their performance at home and improve their arm movements and exercises.

The Sino Pak Center of Artificial Intelligence (SPCAI) and the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication (MoITT) jointly organized the forum in which Chairman of PM Task Force on Science and Technology, Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman was the chief guest. While addressing the forum Dr. Atta-Ur-Rehman said that Pakistan is the country of talented young people. He further said that the Government is utilizing all its resources for the promotion of Artificial Intelligence and three modern technology-based universities will be commissioned in the country in near future.

More than 150 experts from different fields and disciplines attended the forum.  More than 20 national and international experts shared their experiences with the attendees. SPCAI also organized an exhibition in which 28 groups presented their Artificial Intelligence related projects.  The students from Pakistani universities were invited to showcase their AI Based applied research ideas in form of projects, prototypes or artifacts at NAIF. The exhibition named Lab2Market comprised of three rounds in which first was proposal submission, 2nd was 3 minute pitch (3MP) and the final round was the a physical project exhibition.
