Outstanding Representation of Pakistan by Mr Muhammad Zakir Shaikh at Global Youth Convention, Casablanca, Morocco

Muhammad Zakir Shaikh, faculty member and a PhD Student of Mehran University has demonstrated his academic excellence and visionary leadership by becoming a finalist and most featured participant in the prestigious Global Youth Convention 2023. He was selected as the Fully Funded Global Scholar to speak at the Global Youth Convention 2023, Casablanca, Morocco. In total, only 25 Global Scholars were selected from the whole world after a detailed scrutiny which comprised of various competitions and different selection phases, and he was the only one to be selected as Fully Funded Global Scholar from Pakistan. He was also given an honor to deliver his speech on the importance of Artificial Intelligence and Sustainable Development Goals. He also delivered the talk on How to make this World a better place for everyone.

The event took place in Casablanca, Morocco from May 17-20, 2023, an event in which only 25 fully funded young leaders were selected from around the world. His participation in the Global Youth Convention is a testament to his talent and his ability to excel at an international level. His address (Speech) was highly appreciated and liked by all the leaders and participants from the world.

The Global Youth Convention is a world-renowned event that brings together talented youth from around the world to discuss and address the most pressing global challenges. Participants have the opportunity to interact with outstanding leaders, experts in various fields, and other inspiring young leaders. In addition, the event provides a forum for the exchange of ideas, collaboration, and the generation of innovative solutions.

Currently, Mr Muhammad Zakir Shaikh is an Erasmus Plus Exchange Student at the University of Malaga, Spain and he was also the only one from University of Malaga, Spain who won this International Competition. Muhammad Zakir Shaikh was selected as a finalist to represent Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro, University of Malaga (Spain), QS ImpACT and our country Pakistan at the Global Youth Convention.  Muhammad Zakir Shaikh's participation in the Global Youth Convention has been an enriching experience for both him and the University community as well.
