Workshop on Power Lab

Department of Biomedical Engineering, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology, Jamshoro in collaboration with ADInstrument, Australia and Paktech Instruments Company has organized a hands-on workshop on the use of latest physiological recording system “POWER LAB” in Biomedical Engineering courses.

In his welcome addressing Prof. Dr. B.S. Chowdhry, Chairman Biomedical Engineering Department informed that PowerLab is the one Instrument for more than 450 individual experiments of Biomedical Engineering including Biomedical Instrumentation, Physiology, Pharmacology, and Biochemistry. He said that with appropriate transducers & accessories the PowerLab can be used to perform broad range of human experiments.

The workshop provided comprehensive information on world class instruments and their first hand experience to the participants from various institutes of Sindh. The workshop was broadcasted to all 78 institutes linked via HEC Video Conferencing System in Pakistan.

Prof. Dr. A.Q.K. Rajput, Vice-Chancellor, MUET Chief Guest of the occasion said that the organizing this kind of advanced workshops by MUET is its commitment in providing state-of-the-art training to its faculty and students so that they can compete the race in this global village of technology. The workshop was largely attended by faculty members & students from MUET, NED UET, LUMHS & Ziauddin University.

The workshop went very well and highly appreciated by the participants. Later Prof Dr AK Baloch gave certificates to participants.
