The department's mission is twofold, as stated below:

Firstly, to develop the students' skills to make them globally competitive mathematicians, engineers, and researchers by providing quality education and research facilities.
Secondly, to produce mathematicians who can play an active role in strengthening the country's industry and bring positive change in society by utilizing their learning and practical experiences.
