Incharge's Message

Calibration and Repair Center is situated in department of Electrical engineering, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro.

This Center has two important sections:   

1. Calibration Laboratory
2. Electrical Repair Shop

CALIBRATION LABORATORY:

Calibration is special highly refined process in which an instrument’s performance is compared with the standard of known uncertainty to detect or correct any variation from required performance.

Purpose of calibration is to ensure that instruments/devices are functioning within the limits of tolerance. Those are specified by its manufacturer.

Calibration is required due to mechanical wear, aging effect, miss-use of operator and un-authorized adjustment of the instruments/devices.

Calibration laboratory was established in 2003. Our university is ISO 9001 certified, therefore it is utmost necessary to have a calibration lab in the campus.

Calibration laboratory is responsible to maintain the traceability of reference equipments / standards of the lab with the national reference equipments /standards.

ELECTRICAL REPAIR SHOP:

Electrical Repair Shop provides the facilities of repair and maintenance of test /research equipments of the university labs, other universities, educational departments and industries.

Following services and trainings are available in the calibration laboratory.
