SPE Mehran UET Student Chapter
SPE Mehran UET Student Chapter is the first student chapter of SPE International in the Pakistan. The chapter was established in 1998. The Chapter is working in the premises of Institute of Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering, Mehran University of Engineering & Technology Jamshoro, Sindh.
The chapter exists under the bylaws of SPE International. An Executive Committee included of President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Membership chair and a faculty Sponsor/Advisor.
The objective of the Chapter is to lead the students to an industry oriented career approach and to create a technical human resource for the market place. The chapter activities are the main source for the fulfillment of its objectives. Activities include monthly technical sections, field visits, certified short courses, quiz/debate competition and extra-curricular activities.
Student’s membership in SPE provides the opportunity to meet practicing professionals, workshops, book discount, journals, published papers and society’s sponsored programs.
